Susan Dell had a big message to deliver at the White House alongside Donald Trump and her husband, Michael Dell. But once the cameras turned her way, it wasn’t just the billion-dollar announcement that had people looking twice.
Susan Dell arrived at the White House with a very specific message for American families, but it was not the only thing that caught people’s attention.
The billionaire philanthropist and mother of four appeared alongside President Donald Trump and her husband, Michael Dell, as the couple promoted Trump Accounts, a savings initiative designed to help families build money for their children’s futures.
During the White House appearance, Susan encouraged parents and grandparents to make sure their children were registered for the accounts and emphasized that money was already waiting in them.
“Every child across the country. These accounts are for you. We believe in you, and we want you to dream big because we know you can make your dreams come true. So, parents and grandparents, please claim your child’s account.”
“These accounts are ready. They’re waiting for you, and they have money in them. So, claim your child’s accounts and start adding money to their accounts and preserving a wonderful future for them.”
The appearance came after the Dells pledged $6.25 billion toward the Trump Accounts initiative. The size of the contribution made the Dell family’s involvement hard to miss, but the moment also took an unexpected turn when Trump appeared to suggest that Susan could have a future in politics.
After hearing Susan speak, Trump turned to Michael and asked, “What a good job. Michael, is she thinking of running for office? […] because I’ll endorse her immediately. She has my complete and total endorsement. Good job.”
Despite those glowing words, some viewers were more interested in how Trump behaved while Susan had the floor, and their reviews were considerably less flattering. “She put Trump asleep.” one commenter quipped beneath the CBS News video. “Also trump taking his afternoon nap while she talks lol [sic],” another joked.
“Look at trumps body language!! He is so disrespectful towards women. He hated to hear her speaking [‘sic],” a viewer claimed on Facebook. In any case, the Dell Technologies founder swiftly put the presidential endorsement on ice, responding, “No, she’s not.”
Ultimately, the White House appearance therefore gave Susan a prominent public platform: She was there to promote a program aimed at helping children build savings, while Trump publicly joked about — and immediately endorsed — the idea of her running for office.
But once images and video of the appearance began circulating, another part of the appearance became the subject of intense discussion.
Then People Started Looking More Closely at Susan’s Face
At 62, Susan looked noticeably different from some of the earlier photographs of her that have circulated over the years. The change was especially apparent around her face, eyes and jawline, with some viewers focusing on the shape and fullness of her features.
The Irish Star reported that the appearance prompted speculation about whether Susan may have undergone cosmetic procedures. Importantly, however, Susan has not publicly confirmed that she had plastic surgery, and the publication’s experts stressed that observations based on photographs cannot establish what procedures, if any, a person has undergone.
That distinction did little to stop the discussion. The Irish Star consulted Dr. Ross Perry, Medical Director of Cosmedics skin clinics, who compared Susan’s recent appearance with earlier photographs and offered several possible explanations.

“Susan has sparked widespread speculation about whether she may have undergone cosmetic treatments. In comparison to earlier photographs, her face appears noticeably tighter and tauter, and her eye area looks more open than usual. Several aesthetic procedures, surgical or non-surgical, could create this type of result,” Perry said.
He suggested that one possibility could be a full facelift, pointing to what he described as a lifted appearance around the jawline and mid-face. “There is a possibility she may have undergone a full facelift, as the skin around the jawline and mid-face appears lifted,” he said.
Perry also raised the possibility of upper blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, because the eyes appeared more open and refreshed in the newer images. “Another possibility is upper blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), which can make the eyes look more open, refreshed, and awake, an effect that looks likely in the recent images.”
The Experts Also Pointed to Nonsurgical Possibilities
Perry did not limit his observations to surgery. He explained that injectables and other nonsurgical cosmetic treatments can also substantially change the way a person’s face appears, particularly around the forehead, cheeks, eyes, and mid-face.
“However, non-surgical treatments can also achieve significant changes. Botox can smooth forehead and frown lines, while dermal fillers in the cheeks or tear troughs can restore lost volume and create a more youthful contour.”
He added that the amount of injectable treatment can itself affect the final appearance. “In some cases, overuse of injectables, such as excessive Botox around the eyes or too much filler in the mid-face, can even contribute to a slightly ‘wide-eyed’ or startled appearance.”
Still, Perry stressed that photographs alone cannot tell the complete story. “It’s also important to remember that lighting, makeup, camera angles, weight loss, or even temporary swelling can significantly alter how someone looks in photos. Without a professional consultation, any discussion of cosmetic work remains purely speculative.”
That caveat is particularly important in Susan’s case because the public is comparing photographs taken at different times, under different lighting and with potentially different styling.
In other words, the pictures may show a striking difference, but they cannot prove what caused it.
One Surgeon Estimated the Possible Cost Could Reach $100,000
Another cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Gerard Lambe, founder of the Reflect Clinic, also examined Susan’s recent public appearances and offered his professional observations.
“Based on recent public appearances and images, Susan Dell appears to have invested significantly in facial rejuvenation procedures. Without examining her personally, I can only offer professional observations about what treatments might contribute to such changes.”
Lambe then outlined several procedures that, in his view, could potentially account for different aspects of the appearance. He mentioned extensive facial fillers, particularly around the cheeks and mid-face, estimating 3,000-5,000 per session and suggesting there could have been multiple sessions.
He also listed possible fat transfer to the face at 8,000-12,000, possible upper and lower blepharoplasty at 8,000-12,000, a potential facelift or mini-facelift at 15,000-25,000, regular Botox treatments at 800-1,200 per session, and possible lip augmentation at 800-1,500.
“Total estimated investment could be $50,000-100,000 or more over time,” Lambe said. That figure is an estimate based on hypothetical procedures, not a statement that Susan actually spent that amount or underwent all of the treatments listed.

Lambe also offered his most striking observation about the photographs. “The most noticeable aspect appears to be overfilling syndrome – when too much volume is added to the face, particularly in the mid-face area. This can create what we call ‘pillow face,’ where the natural contours are lost.”
He continued, “Additionally, there may be overcorrection of volume loss leading to an unnatural fullness, possible filler migration over time, loss of natural facial proportions, and the challenge of treating mature skin that may not respond as predictably.”
Again, those comments represent a surgeon’s visual assessment of photographs, rather than a diagnosis or confirmation of Susan’s treatment history.
That is where the older images become particularly interesting. In photographs from earlier years, Susan’s facial features appear different enough that viewers have begun comparing everything from her brows and jawline to her nose, teeth, and overall face shape.
The contrast has fueled a wave of online discussion, with some commenters focusing on whether the differences could be explained by aging, weight loss, styling, photography, or cosmetic work.
One commenter reflected on the older images and wrote, “She was pretty- they were both younger too.” Other reactions were considerably more direct. One commenter wrote, “She used to be beautiful. People tend to age more gracefully without all the plastic surgeries.”
Another commenter claimed, “Really bad plastic surgery probly, or ozempic victim.” A third commenter asked, “Why do they keep doing this to their faces?”
One person said, “She looks and sounds so natural.” Another commenter asked, “What happened to her? 😱” One commenter wrote, “She’s 62 and had some plastic surgery; she could put on a few pounds and probably look a bit healthier imo. Still human.”
Another person defended her, writing, “Cosmetic procedures. That’s all. Leave her be.”
Viewers Zoomed In on More Than Just Her Face
The discussion did not stop at the overall shape of Susan’s face. Other commenters said they noticed differences in specific features, including her brows, nose, chin, and teeth. One commenter pointed out, “Difference in brows, nose and chin.” Another said, “So much better before.” A third commenter questioned, “Weight loss vs photo shop? Teeth different! Eyebrows too heavy.”
Another commenter declared, “This is a whole man…. definitely not the same person… this is insane!” The comparisons became even more detailed in reactions to another recent video. One commenter observed, “Her jawline & face structure changed 🤔.” Another pointed out, “There’s a giant indentation and lump by her ear 😱”
A third commenter said, “That seriously doesn’t even look like the same person, tip of the nose is way bigger when the teeth are bigger, looks replaced with a man.” Another commenter asked, “What happened to her teeth? She had beautiful teeth before!😮”
The visual comparison is certainly striking, which helps explain why Susan’s White House appearance quickly became about more than the $6.25 billion announcement.
But the experts’ own warnings are worth keeping in mind. There is therefore no confirmation from Susan that she underwent a facelift, eyelid surgery, fillers, Botox, fat transfer, or any other procedure.
Let’s take a look at Susan Dell through the years — from her earlier public appearances to her recent moments alongside Donald Trump and her husband, Michael Dell, at the White House.
